Durrah Hayati, S.Pd., M.Sc. completed her undergraduate degree (S1) in the Biology Education Study Program at Syiah Kuala University, then continued her master’s (MSc) degree in Forest and Nature Conservation at Wageningen University, Netherlands. With this academic background, she has expertise in forest conservation, particularly in wildlife management, wildlife behavior, and forest ecology, which contributes to efforts to preserve biodiversity and manage forest ecosystems in a sustainable manner.

Durrah focuses her research in ecological economy that leads to forest conservation. Her research interest revolves around the intersection between socioeconomic aspects and forest conservation such as human-wildlife co-existance, biodiversity credit, and sustainable forest resource management. Her current work focuses on the certification impact of forest frontiers commodities on the forest ecosystems.
