Dr. Irma Dewiyanti, S.Pi., M.Sc. completed her undergraduate degree (S1) in Marine Science at the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Bogor. She then continued her master’s degree (S2) at Georg August Universität zu Göttingen, Germany, focusing on Forestry, which broadened her perspective on integrated terrestrial and marine ecosystem management. She then earned her doctoral degree (S3) at Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, in Mathematics and Science Applications, which strengthened her expertise in quantitative analysis, modeling, and the application of science in multidisciplinary research. With this interdisciplinary educational background, Dr. Irma Dewiyanti possesses unique competencies in integrating marine science, forestry, and data-driven scientific approaches to support sustainable natural resource management.

Dr. Irma Dewiyanti, S.Pi., M.Sc. is a marine biologist with expertise in coastal ecosystems, particularly in Aceh, Indonesia. Their research covers the development of marine species such as Peres fish larvae and green shells, as well as the ecological roles of mud crabs and microorganisms in mangrove environments. Dr. Irma Dewiyanti, S.Pi., M.Sc. also focuses on the conservation of mangrove and seagrass ecosystems, estimating carbon stocks and studying plant diversity for ecosystem restoration.

Additionally, they work on sustainable aquaculture practices, exploring the use of probiotics to improve fish health, and promote sustainable mangrove ecotourism. Their interdisciplinary work aims to balance environmental conservation with economic development, particularly in coastal regions.
